Upcoming Work in the Ward:
Fiber Optic ConduitBeginning Tuesday, 6/8, Netsync will begin trench cutting for the installation of fiber optic conduit.Work will begin at the intersection of N Broadway and W Berwyn Ave, and will continue along the following route:W Berwyn Ave to the alley just east of N Broadway, alley trenching from W Berwyn Ave to W Winona Ave, trenching on W Winona Ave going west to N Broadway.
CTA Red Purple Modernization Project Updates
Starting today crews will close Ainslie between Winthrop and the CTA Viaduct. This stretch will close down from June 7th to Jun e18th. Unless there is dangerous construction activity on the street, at least one sidewalk will remain open to pedestrians with flagger assistance when needed.

5/24-12/31: Extended Closure – W. Ardmore Ave between CTA tracks and N. Winthrop Ave
6/1-6/8:Historic Column Removal – W. Argyle Street underneath the CTA tracks
6/1-8/27: Daily Alley Closures – Alley behind 5700-5826 N. Winthrop Ave
6/7-6/11: 24/7 Street Closure – W. Balmoral Ave between CTA tracks and N. Winthrop Ave
6/7-6/18: 24/7 street closure – W. Ainslie St. between the CTA tracks and N. Winthrop Ave.
6/7-8/27: Daily Alley Closures – The alley behind 5500 – 5658 N. Winthrop Avenue
