Chicago Park District & Chicago Public Library
Effective November 20, the Chicago Park District modified park operations and services in accordance with the State’s response to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. All playgrounds, pools, fitness centers, and most facilities east of Lake Shore Drive are closed, except for the Lakefront Trail. Most fieldhouses remain open from 9am to 5pm weekdays for washrooms and shelter. Visit the Chicago Park District COVID response website for more information.

Chicago Public Libraries will remain open at 25% indoor capacity with protective measures in place for the health and safety of the public and library staff.

Chicago Public Schools will return to in-person learning early 2021. Students enrolled in Pre-K will have the option to return on Monday, January 11, 2021, and students in K-8 will be able to return Monday, February 1.
