The 48th Ward Office will be working diligently to make sure the neighborhoods within its borders are safe, and we will also work with the appropriate offices and people to ensure that the 48th ward is a safe place for all residents that live in the 48th Ward. In addition, we will continue work with police commanders, increase patrols in pertinent areas as well as work with officers from the gang crimes unit.
Likewise, we encourage many neighbors to report suspicious activity and call 911 and give detailed information to the police that will be critical in leading an arrest of the offender(s). Additionally, we encourage all residents to attend our CAPS Night Out programs, which is usually attended by many neighborhood residents.
