Last night there was a shooting incident on the 5600 block of Magnolia. A man, 22 years old, was shot in the arm around 8:15 pm. The shooting was the culmination of a confrontation that is believed to have started outside of our area between the individuals involved. The offender followed the victim in his car and shot the victim as he was turning to evade the offender. After the shooting, both cars proceeded north on Magnolia, damaging several other parked vehicles. The victim called 911 for help and was located by Chicago Police around Broadway and Thorndale. He was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital for treatment. We will have more information in Friday’s newsletter, as information becomes available. Police are still investigating the incident.
